This just in from Auckland Transport
Some urgent repair work is needed on the rail line between Papakura and Pukeohe.
The recent wet weather saw two slips on the line near Paerata, 5 April and last week 12 May, so KiwiRail needs to come in urgently and do some work.
Auckland Transport has agreed to replace trains with buses this Saturday and Sunday, 20/21 May, so work can be done.
KiwiRail have had a geotechnical specialist on site and they’ll be working to prevent any further slips.
