A real time update for worldwide Covid-19

Fiona from Henderson

We spoke a family member over in The Netherlands and we were left flabbergasted that they haven't shut their borders.
WTH???
They have 8,647 confirmed cases and 546 deaths. What does it take for them to wake the heck up?
Their neighbours Belgium have:
7,284 confirmed & 289 deaths
Germany have:
50,871 confirmed & 351 deaths.
The total recovered for each country are:
Netherlands 6
Belgium 858
Germany 6,658
Belgium & Germany have both closed their borders.
Where as Netherlands have gone soft and only closed their borders for non-eu travelers - WTH???
At this rate, this vile virus is never going to go away!!!
Here is an EXCELLENT link to watch how things are progressing worldwide in real time.

Show neighbours your photography snaps of Auckland!

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Kia ora Auckland, it's time to dust off that old camera, get out and about and show the rest of your neighbours your favourite, treasured spots in your region. It could be an awesome view, the shy wildlife or even the old buildings that are wanting their stories to be told.

Go ahead, get snapping and illustrate what's beyond your backyard.

Expedia

David from Glen Eden

Amazing how an international travel company can earn such an awful name and still survive.

www.facebook.com...
My friend is owed $776 by ExpediaNZ having applied properly for a legitimate refund. She is now, after several weeks lock down, back in Wales. She was offered a voucher only which she clearly stated would be no use to her. That money was never paid to the hotel in Tauranga. ExpediaNZ have kept it. It's an uphill battle, they make it as hard as possible to recover refunds. It is theft.

Greedy Watercare🚿😒

Fiona from Henderson

Well, the May water bill has landed in our email.
Each month we analyse it to see where or if we can save money and/or water.
What we noticed this month was the last time we got an actual reading was way back in February. The following 3 months have been estimated.
All of the estimated readings were based from our summer usage, when we were watering our gardens.
So, my questions are, "At what point does our usage and payments level out? Will they be paying us for the month of June & July, especially as we have significantly been reducing our water usage over the last few months?"
I understand that lockdown was the reason for the first 2 months estimated readings, however May should've been an actual reading.
It really comes across as if Watercare are bleeding us financially dry, and all the while we are all doing our best to reduce and save.
