Battling an invisible illness: From chronic pain to travelling the world
Hi neighbours, a Blockhouse Bay man spent years experiencing chronic pain due to an auto inflammatory disease called hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Three years ago Maurice O'Rourke was in so much pain he was unable to sleep for more than an hour at a time.
He is now pain free and able to travel overseas for the first time in decades due to a medication which is now being publicly funded.

Amazingly quiet night in Green Bay
All the Best for the New Year! The last few years they started banging days earlier already, but this year it was amazingly quiet. Now either people suddenly got smart and care about animals and the environment (which I don’t believe for a second) or it’s the clearest sign of the Cost of Living Crisis we are in. I’m just glad I can make a damn fine bread for under a dollar.
