Senior Constable Don Allan's monthly newsletter

Colleen from Onehunga

Great news from Don, reported property crime declined around 4.5% compared to the reported incidents in May. The decline was directly associated to burgary complaints with around 61% of reports associated to "vehicle crime". There's good news - 6 stolen vehicles were recovered in Maungakiekie during May. ( See page 1)
Don has detailed 2 incidents he was called out to of mail theft via letterboxes. - the outcome of the first is in the newsletter but .....
In the next instance he mentions a local resident in Royal Oak noticed this also one day and called Police . The person kept their distance watching ... I'll leave you to read the rest in the newsletter so please keep an eye out neighbours " from a distance" - stay safe.
The crime incidents are detailed on page 3.

On that note.... If you are over 18 , vettable by NZ Police , keen to help with safety in our community ,have 3 hours once a month - Onehunga Community Patrol needs you .
SEE PAGE 13

It's great to attend this .......
COFFEE WITH A COP - 8 August 10 - 11 am @ Oak Eatery in Royal Oak Mall. ( SEE PAGE 10)

Stay Warm & Dry

Kind Regards
Colleen

Age Well Kiwi

Mabel from Hillsborough

We are a new support group for seniors. We meet once a month to share our experience and discuss our challenges & concerns.

With the growth of our ageing population, and more seniors living alone, this group would explore and advocate/address the social, emotional and physical needs of our seniors, and promote positive and healthy ageing.

We meet on the first Saturday afternoon of the month in Mt. Roskill. Our next meeting will be 3 Jan 2026.

If you are interested in joining us and contribute your ideas, knowledge, experience, talents and resources, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us at agewellkiwi@gmail.com.
