BNZ Auckland Diwali Festival
The BNZ Auckland Diwali Festival returns to Aotea Square and Queen Street on Saturday 4 November and Sunday 5 November, starting at midday for nine hours of family-friendly activities and entertainment on both days.
The Auckland Diwali Festival, known as 'The Festival of Lights', draws over 60,000 attendees annually.
Since its inception in 2002, the festival has been a vibrant showcase featuring traditional and contemporary music, dance, and stalls offering Indian delicacies and crafts.
This yearโs festival is action-packed with 32 food stalls, 11 retail, 5 henna and 150 performances across the two days.
The event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display on Sunday, 5 November.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
