Welcome Cafe Aroha - Exciting new Cafe open in The Gardens

Fundraising from Totara Hospice

We are so every excited to announce that great coffee, a warm atmosphere, freshly baked goods & big smiles - are all the things you'll find at the new Cafe Aroha. Now open Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.00pm.

This fabulous volunteer driven Cafe will be open on the grounds of Totara House at Totara Hospice 140 Charles Prevost Drive, The Gardens. It will be volunteer driven - all the friendly staff are volunteers from your community. And what is the best news is that all the proceeds from the Cafe will be going to Totara Hospice, to ensure these services continue to support your community.

How great is that, you get to enjoy wonderful coffee, freshly baked scones, muffins and rolls - and know you are supporting a much needed community service.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
