Senior Constable Don Allan's monthly newsletter
Hi Neighbours,
I've attached Don's latest newsletter, good news - Hillsborough, Onehunga, Epsom & Penrose had a 17% decrease in crime last month , but wait there's more - Police recovered 26 stolen motor vehicles in our community - wahoo.
The Police recently, as a "safer roads 3 road policing operation" conducted several Police check points throughout Auckland where over 5000 drivers were stopped for passive breath tests . ( see page 2 of the newsletter for the results) "Drivers stopped by Police are required to state their name & address so the breath testing device may determine if alcohol is present on the breath of the driver." There are consequences if one refuses to comply with the info. ( see page 3 & 4 for consequences and the current breath alcohol limits & penalties)

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
