SPiCE Floral Carpet Festival NEW DATE Saturday 20 March from 2 - 4 pm in Sandringham Reserve!
Hurray for Alert Level 1 in Auckland!! We are now full steam ahead for our Floral Carpet Festival - back for its 5th year bigger and better than ever. Join us as we use thousands of marigolds to create a stunning carpet of flowers in a beautiful rangoli pattern in the middle of Sandringham Village. Take part in helping us set out the flowers, enjoy learning a traditional Indian dance, or get a henna tattoo. This is a free family event - all ages and people welcome to come and get involved!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
