Garden Tidy up
Hi there is there anyone available in the Ellerslie area, would be able to do a ‘one off’ garden tidy (and a couple of very minor house repairs) for us. Depending on costs - removal of oxalis etc, then digging over a long narrow strip. Laying about 10 pavers , getting rid of kikuyu (couch?)grass in a rock garden, attaching some timber strips to fence to tie tomatoes to (there's close to surface rocks, so can't stake them), and to run wire (or similar) suitable to espalier said tomatoes to along fence line. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
