Looking for host families for Onehunga High School
Some benefits of hosting international students:
- An opportunity for lifelong friendships around the world;
- Bringing an international perspective to your home and family life and providing opportunity for your children to develop their social and hosting skills whilst learning about other cultures and languages;
- Extra cash (Note: although hosting internationals come with great renumerations, please note that this cannot be solely looked at as an income as we are looking for families who are keen to do this more as a cultural exchange and fun!)
Remuneration
- Long-term students (1 term or more); $290 per week
- Short-term students; less than 1 term; $300 per week
- Short-study groups; from $42-$60 (double placement) to $75 (single placement) per night

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
