Free Guitar lessons - Fridays in Onehunga

Develop literacy and numeracy skills while learning to play the guitar. Arun Andrews will teach you to play the guitar - basic chords, majors, minors, progressions, root notes, constructions etc. And while learning guitar you'll improve in literacy and numeracy as well. Offered free as a community service through the Royal Oak SDA church, 48 Mt Smart Rd, Onehunga. Registration essential. Course begins 16th February from 10 - 3 pm. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
