RePurpose Community Recycling Centre Opens in Onehunga
Whether you are looking for a bargain or a treasure, you will have a good chance of finding both at RePurpose Community Recycling Centre in Onehunga!
We accept donations of unwanted (but in reasonable condition) household items, clothing, books and furniture which is sold in our shop or upcycled into something special.
This initiative is being run as a partnership between Earth Action Trust and Grey Lynn 2030 with a goal of diverting waste from landfill and providing work opportunities, in particular for migrants and refugees.
Our aim is also to provide education and workshops around repair and upcycling.
Our site will be open to the public 2 days a week – Thursday and Saturday between 10am and 3pm at 20A Alfred Street, Onehunga

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
