Amazing new cafe at Royal Oak Mall!!!

Andrea from One Tree Hill

Just checked out the new Oak Eatery cafe, upstairs, at Royal Oak mall. It WAY exceeded our expectations. It's the best cafe at Royal Oak mall in like forever!!! And it's up there with the Mt Eden cafes. It's got a nice relaxed atmosphere, beautiful and stylish decor, the cutest table numbers we've ever seen, and a separate room available to hire for small functions like birthday parties etc. It's kid-friendly, allergy-friendly and has healthy cabinet food options like salads and raw cheesecakes and a delicious menu to order from too. Prices are about average and staff are really friendly with good, quick service. I give this place 10/10 and highly recommend checking it out and spreading the word!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
