Poll: Should landlords supply heating?
A community advocate says Healthy Homes heating standards can't come in soon enough after the Tenancy Tribunal ruled landlords only have to provide a power point to meet heating requirements in the north. What do you think - should landlords supply heating, even when it is not legally required?

-
36.6% Yes - supplying a heater is the least a landlord can do
-
61% No - tenants should pay for their own heaters
-
2.4% Other (please explain in comments below)
This is why we have a water shortage.
In my little neighbourhood alone, in the last few years, 6 x 3 bedroom houses have been replaced by 34 x 4 or 5 bedroom dwellings plus a 100 child industrial sized childcare centre with 3 floors of 2 person, shoebox sized boarding house rooms on top, with yet more single house sections earmarked for intensive developments. Developers should be charged a lot more to pay for all the extra infrastructure and water needed.

Increase in MIQ costs for temporary visa holders - are you impacted?
Hi Neighbours,
MBIE has just announced that from 25 March 2021, MIQ costs for temporary entry visa class holders will increase from $3100 to $5520.
Temporary visa holders (including those on visitor visas, student visas, work visas and limited visas) who have already booked MIQ spots and are due to enter on/after 25 March will also be expected to pay by the new standards.
