Have you found a rare piece of New Zealand history?
Stalwart boxing supporter and North Shore resident, Dave Cameron, is handing over a rare boxing trophy to Auckland Boxing.
The trophy, for the most successful trainer in the amateur champs, was first awarded in 1926 was last awarded in 1956.
Dave said the trophy was awarded annually and should have been returned to The Northern Boxing Association at end of each year.
However, the trophy was found under a house in South Auckland a couple of years ago and ended up on Dave's doorstep. Dave is a collector of boxing memorabilia but he is handing this one over.
