Alberton Vintage Market Day! Sunday 13 October 11am-3:30pm

Alberton's grand ballroom and verandah are the perfect settings for this mini market of vintage treasures!

There will be fine china, textiles, Crown Lynn, clothing, glassware, crystal, silver, kitchen & tableware, vinyl records, jewellery, accessories, retro bric-a-brac and more!

Highlights include Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint furniture painting demos by Troupes Vintage at 12 & 2pm and a surprise flash mob swing dance performance by the Grammophone Gang!

Gelato, a pop-up bakery and coffee caravan will provide sustenance and old-fashioned games such as quoits and croquet will keep the kids entertained.

Enter the raffle to win a SPECTACULAR prize hamper of vintage goodies and vouchers from Junk & Disorderly, Cockspurs Vintage and Yvonne Sanders Antiques!

Learn the history of this historic homestead built in 1863 and the lives of its inhabitants the Kerr Taylors. This event is part of the Auckland Heritage Festival 2019 with the theme of 'Journeys'.

FREE ENTRY to the market.
House entry - adults $10, children free.

Please bring lots of old fashioned currency (notes & coins) as there will be no cash-out service. The market goes ahead rain or shine - most of the stalls are inside or under cover.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
