Here's a few things you can do to get you started:
- use the Neighbours Directory to find neighbours on your street.
- introduce yourself on Neighbourly to those living in your neighbourhood. Just a few words about yourself and what brought you here.
- Give something away or sell something! A Neighbourly exchange gives you a chance to meet someone new.
- just head out the door and knock on someone else's!

Here's how to save and find posts:
1) Simply click on the SAVE button at the bottom right of a post you want to locate later. The button will change to 'Saved!'
2) To find the post, click on My Posts in the top green navigation bar (on desktop) and click on the All Posts dropdown menu. You'll see the option 'Saved Posts'
3) When you no longer need a record of the post, just click on the Saved button and it will disappear from your Saved list.

Typically it is the person in trouble… View moreThe successful execution of a water rescue last week highlights the importance of ‘safety first’ before attempting a rescue and only entering with water with some form of flotation.
Since 1980, 93 people have drowned while trying to save another person. Typically it is the person in trouble that survives, and the would-be rescuer that drowns.
Most of these people would still be alive today if they followed this one piece of advice; only enter the water if you have some form of flotation. You don’t see lifeguards attempting a rescue without equipment.
Providing flotation to a person interrupts the drowning process buying valuable time to either plan how to get the person back to shore, or wait until rescue services arrive.

It's completely FREE to sell something on Neighbourly - plus you'll have a chance to meet one of your friendly neighbours. Here's a few tips and tricks to make your sale is a quick and easy one:
* Use good images to ensure your items really stand out
* Share an description of each item you are selling including details of its condition
* Add a price for your listing
* If you have multiple items to sell, group these into a single post and itemise the unique items you have for sale with their sale price.
* Once an item has sold, remember to mark it as SOLD (just click on the three little dots under your post)
* Consider listing an unsold item in the Free Stuff category if you're keen to see it moved along.
* Once a neighbourly has confirmed they'd like to purchase your item, share details using your Neighbourly Inbox
