Manukau East Shopping Shuttle

Lindsay Upton from Manukau East Council of Social Services (MECOSS)

Our Manukau East Shopping Shuttle operates on a first-come, first-served basis every Thursday, on alternate weeks to Botany Town Centre and Pakuranga Plaza.
Offered as a convenience to anyone in our community who doesn’t drive it’s a comfortable and direct door-to-door passenger service.
We offer a high level of support by collecting passengers from their home and delivering them to their shopping destination.
For $5.00, Manukau East residents receive a morning-pick-up, two hours of uninterrupted shopping, a free cup of tea or coffee and returned home early afternoon.
This provision helps passengers with opening doors and verbal guidance. However passengers must be able to get on and off the shuttle without physical assistance and be able to walk by themselves with or without a walker. Walkers are able to be transported on the shuttle.
Our service necessitates users to make an advanced reservation on Monday for the Thursday service. On request we’ll offer a degree of personalization with a companion shopper. Botany Town Centre provide wheel chairs, walkers, and mobility scooters. Pakuranga Plaza provide 1 wheel chair and 1 mobility scooter.
Our pick-up and drop-off areas include: Bucklands Beach peninsula, Pakuranga, Howick, Botany, Dannemora and Chapel Road (inside the area bounded by Whitford to Stancome Roads).
To book, call 0800 632 677. Please leave a message if you receive an answer service.
This vital community service is made possible with the valued backing of our volunteer drivers and companions, Howick Local Board, Auckland Council, Pakuranga Plaza, Botany Town Centre, Columbus Coffee, Robert Harris Coffee Roasters, Sierra, Hollywood Bakery Espresso and The Coffee Club.
