Crash on South Auckland street raises safety questions
Hi neighbours,
An Auckland Transport and Counties Manukau DHB vehicle have collided on a south Auckland road.
The incident occurred at around 10.30am on Wednesday on the corner of Coronation Rd and Hastie Ave in Māngere Bridge.
Resident Angela Dunsmuir said the intersection is dangerous as visibility on the corner is poor for drivers creating a blind spot.
“It’s on a hill and people seem to speed coming up to it,” she said.
Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene, and transported one patient in a serious condition to Middlemore Hospital. Another patient in a minor condition was treated at the scene.
