Experience ‘Women of Influence’ Awards-Nominee and internationally highly acclaimed Rita Paczian conducting Bach Musica NZ Chorus & Orchestra in this unique concert presenting German romantic treasures.

Auckland Philharmonia’s Huw Dann will open the concert with Hummel’s famous Trumpet Concerto followed by acclaimed NZ soprano Stephanie Acraman singing three of Mendelssohn’s much-loved choral works and most inspired moving and lyrical compositions: Psalm 42, Hear My Prayer and Verleih uns Frieden.

HIGHLIGHT: Not only will these three masterpieces be performed in the original German language, but you will witness the whole night under the baton of a renown German musician and conductor who brought her deep understanding of German music with her to New Zealand.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
