Has a Sudoku with 16 clues finally been discovered? How good are you at Sudoku?

Alan from Titirangi

It is supposed to be impossible for a "Sudoku" with 16 clues to have a unique solution. Try to solve the Sudoku below before you look here:
aaamazingphoenix.wordpress.com...

The “Sudoku” below has 16 clues and two solutions. However the two solutions appear to only swap around the 8s and 9s. Since there are no 8s or 9s in the original puzzle does this mean the solution is unique?

It is believed that there is no Sudoku with 16 clues i.e. with a unique solution. It was mathematically proven in 2012 by Gary McGuire and his team that 17 is the minimum number of clues possible for a valid Sudoku puzzle to have a unique solution; puzzles with 16 or fewer clues cannot have only one solution.

What about this puzzle?

But there is a silver lining: buyers are still in a strong position when it comes to negotiating prices.

So we’re curious…
How are you feeling about the current property market?

If you’re keen to dive into the details, Deborah Morris breaks down all the latest insights.
