Crown Lynn Commemorative Plate 100 Year Salvation Army (1983)
This plate commemorates the centenary of The Salvation Army in New Zealand, celebrating "100 Years" from "1883" to "1983". It features an image of 'The Fountain' in Dunedin, where The Salvation Army's work in New Zealand began, along with imagery of flags, a drum, and a trumpet, all framed by floral motifs and a gold rim.
Only 2,500 of the large Salvation Army Centenary plates were produced - and this is the best one I’ve ever seen (probably because it was never put into the dish washer like others I’ve seen).
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
