What should Auckland Council prioritise this year?
Auckland Council plans to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and is set to be one of the biggest challenges that is facing council leaders in 2021.
The Auckland Climate Plan is set to be released to the public for consultation in February, with Councillors already opting for the smaller of the two climate budget proposals.
Water management, both water access and waste water systems are also set to come under review, with Watercare scaling back many projects, which may end up postponing completion by a number of years.
