Power outage
Monday morning's heavy downpour after weeks without rain caused havoc with some of Auckland's power lines.
A Vector spokeswoman said up to 1000 Auckland homes had been affected by power outages. In Titirangi, these weather changes led to vegetation interfering with one of the high-voltage lines but we're hoping to have power restored by 4pm.
