New bus services for West Auckland – on their way
We are only days away from introducing a new bus network for West Auckland. On Sunday 11 June everything about the bus network is changing, including new bus routes, new route numbers and new timetables.
It has been a few busy weeks telling bus customers about the changes to get them ready for day one. This has included:
• Delivering the information brochure and local bus timetables to 97,000 households
• Creating “Get Ready” videos in Mandarin, Cantonese, Samoan, Hindi and English languages
• Putting up change posters at 513 bus stops and posters at the bus stops that will close
• 170 new bus stops have been installed or relocated
• AT staff and Ambassadors at key bus stops across West Auckland helping customers plan their new journeys
These changes also affect a number of services, including Sandringham Rd, New North Rd, Greenhithe, Blockhouse Bay and some North Shore buses that originate from West Auckland.
School bus services - Some school bus services are changing too. Check online for your child’s new school bus timetable.
