Scammers
Dear Friends, just read about scammers calling as police officers, also I have recieved one acting as AMI insurance agent. She was so persistent, called me 3 times in 5 minutes till I picked up. I recently sold my car, brought another one and they got my number. Luckily the lady was mentioning a wrong car brand, then asked for my date of birth. I used an expletive and disconnected. Be careful.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
