With warmer weather heading our way, gardening is a great way to stay fit and get regular doses of Vitamin D to help strengthen our bones.

The Home Safety checklist will give you practical tips on how to avoid falls, sprains and strains while pulling those stubborn weeds. For example, when you’re gardening avoid heavy lifting and use long-handled tools so you’re not bending over for long periods. Steady yourself when bending and standing, no pesky weed is worth falling for!

A new movement called Live Stronger for Longer is helping to reduce the risk of falls by providing practical information and free resources. We want to help you stay on your feet, and living the life you want to live.

Take the home safety checklist with your friends and family and join the movement today.

Proudly brought to you by ACC, HQ&SC, MOH and your local community health providers.

It was not an easy journey from Elementary to Intermediate for some of the students.
Some of them landed in New Zealand with almost zero English, but now, they are so confident in using English in every day life and various situations. With solid grammar backing them, they are ready to move forward!
Some of the students joined this class with quite good basic reading and grammar skills at the beginning. For them, this intermediate class was really a booster! They have acquired how to frame sentences correctly and really learned how to interact by making themselves well understood by native speakers.

Our experienced teacher Lin is always there to help you!!!

It is so amazing to have our Elementary students in our school. They are the vivid living evidence for the proverb which says that it is never too late to learn to be true. Every day from Monday to Friday, they attend the long-hour class to absorb as much as they can.
The purposes of their studies are varied. Our senior students had been leading the wonderful life back in their countries, and they don't think their landing in New Zealand just means that they have to stay at home resting or minding little grandchildren all the time.
They come to school every day to learn the new Language as well as the local culture and people.

For younger students, they want to start new life or career in New Zealand and are well aware that they need to learn the language which will facilitate a better life. And younger students are so encouraged by the senior students and work even harder.

Our awesome Teacher Miriam will never lose patience when it comes to helping Elementary students to improve their English.

Good beginning means you have secured the success in half.

In our school, each student is talented and hard working, each one has his or her big dream to realize just here in New Zealand.
Each one had been steering his or her life toward a better place, and at this very moment is steering the life toward even better destination.
Only the language has been the barrier. However, we are not afraid of the language anymore. We are here together, no matter how different our backgrounds had been, to learn English with our awesome teacher Leah who is dedicated to develop the students' English language to the higher level and also focus on building the students' confidence to be able to use their English to communicate with others.
