Your Vote for Our Waitakere | QURESHi, Rizwan Ahmed
Kia ora, neighbours,
My name is Rizwan Ahmed Qureshi, and if we haven’t met yet, I’m a dad, a husband, and a long-time community advocate right here in Waitakere.
Your ballot papers are arriving now. This is our chance to choose a Local Board member who listens, cares, and will roll up their sleeves to get things done.
I’m not a career politician. I’m a neighbour who shares your concerns: keeping our communities safe from flooding, protecting our stunning natural environment, and creating a future our kids will be proud to inherit.
I promise to be your accessible, hardworking, and honest voice on the Board.
When you fill out your ballot, please vote for QURESHI, Rizwan Ahmed. Let’s build a stronger, greener, more connected Waitakere—together.
Ngā mihi,
Rizwan Ahmed Qureshi
Your neighbour and candidate for Waitakere Ranges Local Board.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
