Waitakere Table Tennis Association Club Night Thursday 23/11/23 (and every Thursday), 6.30 pm-9 pm, Glen Eden Recreation Centre, Harold Moody Park, 44 Glendale Rd, Glen Eden. All equipment is supplied, and free coaching is available on-site. All welcome. $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for players up to and including 16, and $5.00 for players 65-plus, for a 2.5-hour playing session. Hope to see you there 🙂

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
