I am on the Team New Zealand and represent the "Aotearoa Frozen Ferns" at the World Championship Ice Swimming in January 2025 in Italy. I need your support to get there! Ice Swimming is swimming in water of temperatures below 5°C/41°F, unassisted, with a silicone cap, pair of goggles and standard swimming costume. Wetsuits and other swim aids are not permitted. Are you cool enough to fund me?

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
