Lost Dog

Susan from Northcote

On Tuesday night about 10pm our old debilitated deaf and blind dog managed to wander out of our house in Puawai Place Onepoto Basin, Northcote, down the drive and disappeared. She normally can't walk far and bangs into things. We realised quite quickly and hunted high and low until 1am in the morning. She has been a beautiful dog and it's heartbreaking for her to end like this. Not knowing what might have happened to her is terrible. She is the dog in this photo from.a few years ago. Please contact me if you know anything at all. Sue 0272586004

Poll: Got any goals or hopes for the coming year?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Happy Matariki, neighbours!

An important aspect of Matariki is whakapapa - family, community, and our connections to living things. Communities across the country have put together events to celebrate.

The Māori New Year is also a great time to pause, reflect on the past year, and think about what’s ahead.
Got any goals or hopes for the coming year? Share them in the comments and inspire your neighbours.

Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

I’m an island nation carved by time,
with a canoe-like shape that’s truly divine;
I’m split in two, north and south I lay—
what am I, home to Māori and pakeha today?
