Strawberry Globbler Help

Mubashir Neighbourly Lead from Mount Roskill

Something creepy has been gobbling up my strawberries when I leave them to ripen. What could it be? I have lavishly sprinkled slug and snail bait around but no stopping. There is enough grains for the birds to feed from as well 🤔. I think whoever that is, is more deserving than me as per nature … View moreSomething creepy has been gobbling up my strawberries when I leave them to ripen. What could it be? In 1923 this was sent out to Auckland's citizens, requesting help to raise the remaining £50,000 of the total £200,000 which was needed to build the new Auckland War Memorial Museum. It included a call to donate, initial drawings of the planned Museum and a list of early donors.

The people of Auckland came through and all the funds were raised! The new Auckland Museum was opened on 28 November 1929.

We’re celebrating 90 years of Auckland Museum in Auckland Domain. Read more about the origins of the building here.

Parade route: Mayoral Drive from Cook Street, along Queen Street, turning right into Customs Street East
Cost--Free
===================================================
The Farmers Santa Parade is celebrating its 86th birthday in 2019, promising some of the best celebrations yet.
New floats, giant inflatables, musicians, entertainment groups galore and Santa himself!
If you want to head in early to get the best spot, there will be pre-parade entertainment from 12pm.
Farmers Santa Parade is a proud supporter of Paralympics New Zealand, who will be out on the parade route ahead of the big event, so make sure to bring along some gold coins for their bucket collection.
Parade route
===========
The parade starts on Mayoral Drive before heading down Queen Street and ending on Customs St East.
To avoid the crowds, grab a spot-on Mayoral Drive; the view’s great and its way less busy than downtown. There might even be space to lay out your picnic blanket!
Whatever position you choose, make sure to keep safe and sit behind the blue honour line painted along the parade route.
Getting there
===========
Inner city roads will be closed between 11am and 5pm, so make sure to arrive before 11am if you’re driving to avoid traffic and take advantage of free parking available at the Downtown and Victoria Street Auckland Transport car parks (for cars parked before 11am and exited between 2pm and 6pm).
Buses and trains are also a great option to get there. For bus, train and ferry schedules and fares, visit at.govt.nz/bus-train-ferry or call the AT Public Transport Contact Centre on 09 366 6400.
Rain date
========
The 2019 festivities will take place on Sunday 24 November, 1pm. However, if it’s raining cats and dogs, the parade will be postponed to Sunday 1 December.
Santa's Party
===========
2.30pm-5.30pm | Aotea Square | FREE
After the parade, we will have an amazing stage entertainment line-up, excellent food, stalls, headliners PJ Masks and entertainment for the whole family at Santa's Party in Aotea Square from 2.30pm-5.30pm.
