Beach Haven Community Connecting and Sustainability Expo Sat 20th March 2021
On Saturday 20th March from 9.00am - Free event, around 13 great local community organisations and groups are setting up in our community garden to showcase how they work to enhance our community vibe, environment and connections. Free sausage sizzle all day, live music and firetruck visit. Come and have a ride in a new Tesla car for a can donation for our local food bank. See you there :)

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
