Beach Haven Birkdale Community Connecting 2021 on March 20th
As part of March Celebrating Communities , Beach Haven Placemaking Group and Beach Haven Birkdale Residents Association in conjunction with Friends of Shepherd’s Park and Pest Free Kaipatiki, are planning Community Connecting 2021 in Opaketai Beach Haven Garden (364 Rangatira Road) on Saturday March 20th.
The aim of this free event is for local groups and organisations based in Beach Haven Birkdale community to connect with our community and invite community participation/information, etc.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
