Poll: Would parents be interested?
Hi everyone, I am a primary school teacher (5 years, team leader for 2) currently studying Educational Psychology. Am thinking of starting a holistic tutoring business for children (Y 1-6) struggling academically (and in other areas if needed) that focuses on incorporating a range of inclusive whole-child focused strategies rather than just focusing on the academic gap (family involvement, goal setting, relationship building etc gains better results usually). My question is, would anyone be interested in this approach, or is academic achievement the only thing parents are interested in?
-
57.1% I'd be interested in a whole-child approach to tutoring
-
28.6% Academic achievement is all I am concerned about as a parent
-
14.3% I'm undecided

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
