Is this Palmy's next suburb?

Georgia Reporter from Stuff

Hi neighbours,

What do you think of the plans to rezone the Te Wanaka Rd area for housing? The city council is proposing to rezone about 25 hectares of race training land on the western edge of the urban area to create up to 220 sections for housing.

Palmerston North residents are being asked to have their say on it. Fact sheets about the rezoning have been delivered to people expected to be affected, but anyone can make a submission by December 18. To read more about this, click here.

So what do you think? Are you for or against the new suburb? Do you have any issues or concerns with it? Or do you think it's a great idea? Share your thoughts with us in the replies below!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
