Community Garden
As the need for our garden grows we would love some more helpers we are working with the drop in and mission clothing shop in the hall across the road in providing veges to those in need or the elderly in flats with no garden. If anyone has some spare vege plants or seeds we would appreciate them you will find us around the garden most days especially when the shop is open Wed 1 to 3pm Fri 9 30 to 11 30am and Sat 10am to 11 30am dont forget the garden has a outdoor pizza oven and is available for community groups to use please contact parish office phone 3085438

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
