Rangiora Menz Shed is looking for New Members!!!

Hello, we are always looking for men to join our shed, if your on your own, married or just darn bored of your own company give me a call.

The Shed is a group of ole fellas who get together 3 mornings a week 9am - 12pm at the A & P Showgrounds on Ashley Street to work on projects together.

Our biggest proudest achievement is our new Coffins. Might as well get a pitch in here lol. Untreated Pine Coffins $450. We do a lot of community based jobs, fixing things, making new things, it is very rewarding all the work we do for our great community.

Keeps the mind active as well as the body. Make great friends. No special skills needed just a really good sense of humour a willingness to pitch in, or just have a chat we would love to hear from you!

Ashley Christmas Carol Service - All Welcome

Time for our annual Christmas Carol Service.
7 pm Wednesday 24 December - that's Christmas Eve.
39 Canterbury St, in the Ashley Village - signposted from Scenic Route 72.

Our guest service leader, Paul Askin, and his band of talented musicians will take us through a programme of favourite carols and worship.

Supper to follow.

A koha/donation will be greatly appreciated. Funds raised go towards the maintenance and repairs of our heritage building.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
