Farewell to Fridays
We have some exciting up coming changes to the Northern Outlook. We are relaunching as a weekly bumper edition, publishing every Wednesday starting October 16. Our new once-a-week paper will be larger, deliver the local content we know you love, and we are printing an additional 1000 copies to improve distribution.
And we want to hear from you! If you have details of an event for our what's on page, photos of your newborn or child starting school, details of your sports club or match, info about someone doing something cool in our community, or an issue in your neighbourhood you think we should highlight please get in touch. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
