The Taranaki Symphony Orchestra is holding it's annual fundraiser at the Tupare gardens this weekend. From 10.00am to 4pm on both Saturday 1 November and Sunday 2nd November. Entry is free, but teas, coffees and home baking is available throughout the day.
The weather forecast is great so come down and be entertained by many different groups of musicians playing all day and stroll around the beautiful gardens.

From the competitors TSO will choose a number to then perform their chosen piece of music accompanied by the Orchestra at a Student Stars concert in August.
This competition is at the Methodist Centre this Saturday 6th April.
The public is invited, details on the attached poster along with times for each session.

A recently formed Baroque Ensemble, "I Barocchi" from members of the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra, will be performing an exciting programme of Baroque Music. The concert will be at the Methodist Centre (Whiteley Memorial Church).
This concert also features a Harpsichord that has recently been refurbished and donated to the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra. The concert features works by Bach, Vivaldi, Corelli, Telemann & Arne. Led by Adam Jasinski, the concert also features a number of soloists: Ian Wong, Norine Dixon, Margarietha Gray (violins), John Barritt (harpsichord), Ingeborg Hawighorst (cello), Jocelyn Beath (flute) and Barbara Mitchell (recorder). Admission is by Koha, with complimentary tea and coffee available at interval.
