We are seeking a reliable and professional individual to pose as a clothed model for a two-hour life drawing session (three session workshop.) at Mairangi Arts Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the artistic development of creative individuals in a supportive studio environment.
Responsibilities:
Pose in a variety of static positions for specified durations, maintaining each pose as instructed by the art facilitator.
Work collaboratively with the facilitator and participants to understand the requirements of each drawing exercise.
Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
Arrive punctually and be prepared to begin the session at the scheduled time.
Be comfortable holding poses for extended periods, with scheduled breaks as needed.
Wear appropriate and varied clothing that offers interesting lines and forms for drawing (specific attire may be discussed in advance).
Requirements:
Ability to remain still and hold poses for designated periods.
Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Comfortable working in front of a group of artists.
No prior modeling experience is strictly necessary, though it is a plus.
Professional and respectful attitude.
Willingness to wear a variety of clothing styles.
Session Details:
Duration: 2 hours
Attire: Clothed (specifics may be discussed)
Location: Mairangi Arts Centre
Date and Time: Tuesday 6, 13 & 20 May 1-3pm and/or 7-9pm
Compensation: $25/hour

Interested individuals are invited to submit a brief expression of interest outlining their availability and any relevant experience to office@mairangiarts.co.nz Please also submit two photos of your self: one of a portrait (shoulders and up) the other photo full body, clothed.
Please include a note about your comfort level with wearing different types of clothing for the session for example swimwear or underwear.

Join our team of local residents and green thumb enthusiasts to address some garden tasks and then enjoy some complimentary afternoon tea after that! We are looking for kind and caring volunteers to assist with supervising children aged 5-12 during lunch break. This role entails sitting with the children, having a chat while they eat and handing out some creative activities to do for those who are fast eaters! Afterwards, weather permitting, volunteers take the children to the field adjacent to Mairangi Arts Centre and keep an eye on them while they burn off some energy.
Requirements:
Reliable, enjoy being around children, kind, caring. No Police record.
Date periods : 25-29 September and 2-6 October
Time Commitment
Shifts start at 11.30am for approximately two hours. If you can only help one day that's fine, any assistance is appreciated.
Complimentary Milo, cookie and sandwich provided on the day for those that can assist us.
