Miss Calico, Princess, and Sylvester were all found living under a boiler within a construction site. Clear mom thought it was a good place to hide her kittens, not knowing the dangers that could occur. Thankfully we were able to trap these kittens just in time and capture mom too. Momcat was a wild girl, so she was speyed and stayed nearby to help with the rodent population.

Thankfully the kittens came into our care at just the right age to be soicalsied. Although still a bit shy around new people, they have come along way, and enjoy human company now. Their new family will need to continue socialising them and ensure they feel safe, and happy before going out into the big world.

Miss Calico (Calico) is a sassy wee girl, but we know she has a sweet side too. Happy to be held or sit on your lap once comfortable.

Princess (Brown tabby with Ginger) is the bravest of the group, very adventurous, and loves to explore. She is also very sweet and getting better at being held.

Sylvester (Black and White) will just melt your heart, he is the most gentle boy. He needs time to trust, and know you are safe. But once bonded with you, he will stay by your side.

George is the first one to greet you when it is food time, he is quite talkative and very food motivated. Such a sweet and lovely guy, purrs a lot and likes being held.

Shirley is quite a little girl, loves to have her back rubbed, and will happily put her tail up and purr. Loves sitting on your lap too.

We are in need of foster homes for timid adult cats, very timid teenage kittens and those with medical needs (FIV+, need to be housed away from other cats)

Our foster parents provide a temporary home and care for kittens or a cat until they can be adopted into a permanent home. Depending on socialisation needed for the kittens or the cat, the commitment will vary significantly from a few weeks to months.

We provide the food, litter, supplies, and the medical care. We work on getting our foster animals adopted into loving homes

Felines looking for a country home, ready to give the rodents in your barn or stable a little exercise (shall we say).

We are trying to help cats in an area where business owners are against TNR (concerned re hygeine certificate as food providers), and have already shot a lot of cats. We are trying our best to convince them, but it is not going well. The cats lives are at stake! All appear to have been pets at one stage but dumped and abandoned and as a result being forced to live wild, and they have lost trust of people.

All are spayed or neutered, microchipped, registered and Health checked. . All they ask of you is at least one meal of cat food and a bowl of fresh water each day - they'll take care of their own snacks and dessert! Our barn buddies will need to be sequestered in a contained environment for about 2- 3 weeks so that they come to know their new home - but they come equipped and we can gladly explain all.

We also Desperately need foster homes in the Kapiti area, especially for the those that can be easier socialised. Please read about fostering below www.forgottenfelines.org.nz... fill out our foster form , if you can help by fostering forms.gle...
