Ukestra lunchtime concert, Methodist Centre, Wednesday August 21.
Tony Hansen and the Taranaki Ukestra will be performing at the Methodist Centre this following Wednesday 21st August at 12.15 pm. This is a ukulele orchestra made up from various ukulele groups accompanied by other instruments and vocals. This year's repertoire draws from well known tunes from Miley Cyrus, Cold Play, Americana, 50 cent, UB40 and more. This is a full voiced tribute to the surprising scope of the ukulele and was a very popular concert last year. A Koha collection will go to a local charity.
