Neighbours Aotearoa 2024

Cass from Brooklands - Vogeltown

Get to know your neighbours a little better this March - and beyond!

The month-long celebration Neighbours Aotearoa returns for 2024, running from the 1st to the 31st of March, and encourages people from right across the country to organise activities or events with their neighbours. Whether it’s a friendly wave, sharing tea or hosting a neighbourhood party, there are many ways, big and small, to get involved in your community.

This year’s theme ‘Growing Together’ is about connecting, nurturing relationships, sharing, and encouraging aroha where you live. It’s about growing skills, networks, memories, participation, and fostering a beautiful neighbourhood.

I am your dedicated connector for the Taranaki region. I can provide free event planning resources - such as downloadable invites, event toolkits, bunting, name stickers etc. I can also help those that need it to register their events on the Neighbours Aotearoa website, or just have a general yarn about any ideas you may have.

To find out more about Neighbours Aotearoa and to register your event visit www.neighboursaotearoa.nz... or contact me direct via cass@neighboursaotearoa.nz.

Poll: Would you want an unconventional funeral?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Funerals can cost as much as $22,000 and the planning can be stressful especially at a time when loved ones are grieving. Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.
