All about me!
Hi Folks, I am Alison Hucke. I am the co-ordinator of the Cambridge Community Garden. This garden is a great asset owned and operated entirley by volunteers from the community. At present it is very productive. You can collect or pick your own fresh spray free produce at any time - just do a task on the whiteboard, swap your extra produce or preserves or leave a donation. We will help you stay healthy and beat the supermarket prices.
If you would like to volunteer I am at the garden every Wed. and Sat. morning from 8am to 10.30am.
I am also a resident in Resthaven Retirement Village and manage the Craft Room there.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
