FUNDRAISER FOR UKRAINE. HARBOURSIDE MARKET. THIS SUNDAY (12 JUNE) FROM 8AM TO 2PM.
Dear fellow Wellingtonians,
Come eat some delicious food AND support the people of Ukraine at the same time! A rag-tag team of bakers will be at the famous Wellington fixture - Harbourside Market this Sunday, June 12!
The market is beside Te Papa Museum on Cable St. Our stall will be decked out in bright blue and yellow so we'll be hard to miss!
We are selling a wide range of lovingly home-baked food products and all proceeds will go to humanitarian aid and medical support for children and adults of Ukraine affected by the war (Ohmatdyt - ohmatdyt.com.ua... and Razom for Ukraine (razom means together in Ukrainian) - razomforukraine.org...).
As well as the food products a range of other Ukrainian themed items will be available for sale too.
We will be at the market from 8 am till 2 pm.
Don't forget to bring cash. We look forward to seeing you there.
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Friendly Couple Seeking Shared Accommodation with Local Flatmates
Kia Ora,
I’m a Chinese student set to attend Victoria University from February 2026 to July 2027, and I’m currently seeking shared accommodation for my husband and me around Pipitea campus.
My husband is an introverted IT engineer based in China, who will join me in Wellington starting March 2026. We’re both quiet, responsible, easygoing people with very regular daily routines, and we absolutely adore animals and children.
We’re keen to share a home with local flatmates – this way, we can learn from each other, immerse ourselves in New Zealand’s culture, and build genuine connections. I’d also love the chance to get to know you and your kids, and hopefully become good friends!
Thank you for considering us or sharing me with some kind messages.
(Email: shenbochen1122@outlook.com)
warm wishes for everyday.
