My Resene Colour Your Community nomination

Wairarapa Community from Masterton District

Resene Colour Your Community
As the Manager of the Wairarapa Community Centre I would like to nominate our Community Centre. This facility is a community owned and operated space for thousands of groups, clubs, organisations, volunteers and the community to come together in one hub. Amazing things happen in our little Centre, from social support, counselling, budget advice, health support, teaching cooking techniques and feeding our homeless and people experiencing food insecurity. These services empower people to be independent, socially connected, and have healthier lifestyles.
The Centre is a non-profit facility and money is always difficult to access for maintenance and upkeep. The exterior of the building is looking very tired and in need of a new paint job. “Resene Colour your community” is a perfect solution to address our current issue.
