3 Steps for Life will give you lifesaving skills and confidence to help if someone has a cardiac arrest in your community. You will learn how to take action by calling 111, how to start CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Fundraise for Foodbank 2024
New Plymouth Community Foodbank and Waitara Foodbank Pataka Kai work closely together to provide a much-needed service within our communities with this year tracking towards being our busiest year on record with more people reaching out for assistance.
Our annual Christmas food drives were a success in December however due to increasing demand for our services we need to top up the shelves and pay some bills.
So, we are collaborating to raise funds by hosting a charity auction this June, with all proceeds to be utilised within our communities to support people who are experiencing food insecurity.

This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.
