HCC

Alan from Melville

Last week I received a letter in the post from the H.C.C. Rates Department stating that Your Direct Debit For Rates.
The Council has now set rates for the new year and your direct debit payment will be > Payment frequency fortnightly. Payment amount $ 103.51. Date of Payment change 2 September 2021> Last payment date 18 August 2022. For more information about the rates please visit our website hamilton.govt.nz/rates or Phone 07 838 6688
The new amount of $ 103.51 cents is an increase of $ 14.91 per fortnight since 28th May 2020 I ask any one how can our HCC have the nerve to spend Hamilton rate payers money doing the art work on part of Rostrevor Street when the HCC need to do urgent maintenance to our roads and foot paths NOW not when the Cows come home over the past 65 years I have seen Hamilton City or Fountain City grow in to a most lovely place to live.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
