RC Plane flying this Sunday. Come along!
Well, the weather lately has NOT been good, so fingers' crossed for this Sunday from around 9am-12pm.
You can always check the weather camera to see if anyone is there. I believe it is updated every 30 minutes.

The Wairarapa Model Aero Club is a small club of about 36 members. Its aim is primarily to enjoy aeromodelling and to provide the facilities and means for its members to have fun with the sport in a safe and controlled environment. We lease an area at Masterton’s Hood Aerodrome and club days on Sunday and Thursday mornings attract a good following.
The Wairarapa Model Aero Club is affiliated to the Model Flying New Zealand, the national body for the sport in the country, and abides by its regulations. We also help out with hosting the annual MFNZ National Championships which are held in the Wairarapa on a regular basis.
Several club members are approved MFNZ instructors and are more than happy to share their expertise and advice with anyone. We are also happy to teach you how to fly using the clubs own training aircraft using dual-controls.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
